On the second canonical vote, Fr. Claudio Dalla Zuanna, SCJ, became the fourth person to be elected to the new General Council for the Priests of the Sacred Heart.
Fr. Dalla Zuanna, 44, is originally from Italy, but has been member of the Mozambique Province for many years. He professed his first vows in 1978 and was ordained to the priesthood in 1984. Much of his ministry has been in formation, and he has also served as a provincial councilor. Not the only SCJ from his family, Fr. Claudio has a brother who is also a member of the community: Fr. Paolo Elio of the North Italian Province.
Voting for the fifth councilor will also take place this morning. Results will be forwarded as soon as they are available.
