Chapitre Général - Cap'tulo General
New General Superior Elected
In their first session of Friday, June 6, the chapter voted for Fr. Aquilino Mielgo Domínguez, SCJ, as general treasurer. He succeeds Fr. Emilio Ciarrocchi, SCJ, who has served two terms (12 years).
Fr. Mielgo, 49, is from the Spanish Province, where he has been involved for many years in education. He has also served as provincial councilor and as provincial superior. He professed his first vows in 1972 and was ordained in 1982.
Following Fr. Mielgo's acceptance of the position, Fr. Ornelas, general superior, thanked him, but also thanked his province. Fr. Mielgo's presence will be greatly missed in Spain, where he was involved in a new educational initiative.
Fr. Ornelas also took the opportunity to thank Fr. Ciarrocchi once again for the 12 years of work that he has given the congregation as general treasurer. The chapter joined the general in expressing its appreciation, applauding the out-doing general treasurer.

Nella prima sessione di venerdì, 6 giugno, il capitolo ha eletto il p. Aquilino Mielgo Dominguez, SCJ, come economo generale. Egli succede a p. Emilio Ciarrocchi, SCJ, che ha svolto l'incarico per due mandati (12 anni).
P. Mielgo, 49 anni, è della provincia spagnola e ha svolto per molti anni compiti educativi. È stato anche consigliere provinciale e superiore provinciale. Ha fatto la sua prima professione nel 1972 ed è stato ordinato sacerdote nel 1982.
Dopo l'accettazione da parte di p. Mielgo, P. Ornelas, superiore generale, lo ha ringraziato, insieme con la sua provincia. L'assenza di p. Mielgo sarà molto sentita in Spagna, dove era coinvolto in nuove iniziative in campo educativo.
P. Ornelas ha colto l'occasione anche per ringraziare p. Ciarrocchi per i 12 anni di lavoro spesi per la congregazione come economo generale. Il Capitolo si è unito al p. Generale nell'esprimere il suo apprezzamento, con un lungo applauso all'ex economo generale.

Au cours de la première session de vendredi, 6 juin, le Chapitre a élu le P. Aquilino Mielgo Domínguez, SCJ, comme économe général. Il succède au P. Emilio Ciarrocchi qui a occupé le poste pendant deux mandats (12 ans).
Le P. Mielgo, 49 ans, est de la Province d'Espagne, où il a travaillé plusieurs années en éducation. Il a aussi été conseiller et supérieur provincial. Il a fait sa première profession en 1972 et a été ordonné en 1982.
Après que le P. Mielgo eut accepté son élection, le P. Ornelas, Supérieur Général, l'a remercié, ainsi que sa Province. L'absence du P. Mielgo se fera durement sentir en Espagne, où il était impliqué dans une nouvelle initiative d'éducation.
Le P. Ornelas a aussi saisi l'occasion de remercier encore une fois le P. Ciarrocchi pour les 12 années de travail qu'il a données à la Congrégation comme économe général. Se joignant au Supérieur Général pour exprimer son appréciation, le Chapitre a applaudi l'économe général sortant.
